Rosa Hodi answers to the same test sheet as Gandonna Aswan — 0.10 % absorption, 21,500 psi in compression — and belongs to the same family of pink hard stone. What sets it apart is tone. The feldspar runs pale rose rather than brick, and the dark minerals are sparse, so the overall field is light enough to work as a bright surface indoors while keeping granite's resistance outdoors.

That combination is unusual and worth using deliberately: a pale floor that will take a lobby's traffic, a pale external paving that will not stain, a stair that stays light in a dark stairwell.

Polished, the rose warms and deepens. Flamed and bush hammered, it lifts almost to a warm off-white with a rough, secure face. The two finishes are far enough apart to read as different stones, so specify one and sample it.
