Galala Light.

Galala Light comes from the same plateau and answers to the same test sheet as Galala Classic: 0.24 % absorption, 23,400 psi in compression. What changes is the tone. The ground is lighter and cleaner, with less of the honeyed warmth, so it holds its colour under artificial light instead of yellowing.

That makes it the Galala to specify in rooms that are already warm — timber joinery, brass, a south-facing wall of glass — where the classic would push the whole scheme amber. It is also the easier of the two to match against white plaster and pale render on a façade.

Like every Galala it is evenness rather than drama: a calm ground that can run across a whole floor or elevation without a pattern to match. Interiors, façades, bathrooms, stairs.

Polished for brightness, honed for calm, sandblasted or bush hammered where a floor gets wet. Supplied as blocks, slabs and cut to size.
