Sinai Grey is the answer when a project wants grey stone without importing it. The ground is a true cool grey with fine, low-contrast movement, close enough to a concrete tone to sit inside a modern palette but with the depth and variation that only a natural stone gives.

Its sheet reads 0.26 % absorption and 20,200 psi in compression, with a bulk specific gravity of 2,567 — the lighter of the two Sinai sheets. Interior floors, cladding, stairs, bathrooms and sheltered elevations.

Grey is the least forgiving colour for batch variation, because the eye reads a warm or cool shift instantly on a grey field where it would miss it on a beige. Order the whole quantity at once and keep a reserve for repairs.

Honed is the finish this stone is usually specified in. Polished cools and brightens it; brushed, sandblasted and bush hammered add grip. Supplied as blocks, slabs and cut to size.
